Elvish Translation
The topic of Tolkien’s Elven languages and the translations of names have been brought up in a post on the FairyTaleNovel Forums. So I thought some of you might be interested in checking out a site which has an entire area devoted to the Elvish Language. There is a sidebar on the right which contains translations of the Elvish used in the ‘Rings’ Films, a Useful Elvish Phrase Section (for your visits to Middle-Earth,) an English to Elvish Dictionary, Book Translations, and even Name Translations! I looked up my name, which is Paul, and found the translation to be: Nibenon (Nee-benn-on.) It doesn’t have the classiest ring to it, but I guess it will have to suffice…

There are also some fun quizzes….like “how long would you survive in middle earth” and “which race would you belong to?” Interestingly enough, I come out as a Numenorean (yep! That’s a choice) which totally fits because I can never decide whether I’m an Elf or a Human, and they’re right in the middle.
My Name means warrior like!!! GRRR.
Yes, it does!
So your name would be: Suiauthon
(Soo-ee-ow-thonn.)
Mine is Tûrsidhion, which means, Victorious Peace.
Mine is Morohtar(More-oh-tahr), which means Dark Warrior. SWEET!
