Marc made mention of a very important and striking issue in one of his comments on “It is a Truth Universally Acknowledged.” He mentioned the issue of how the stories written by the Brothers Grimm were affecting the children who listened to them, and that they had to be watered down. The issue of corrupting the hearts and minds of the innocent has been around for many years. As explained by Marc, since the stories did that to children, they had to water them down in order to make it more appealing, but none-the-less, the same message was being stressed across. The same situation has arisen concerning New Line Cinema’s latest film, The Golden Compass. From what I’ve read, the author and several other people have been ranting that the film has lost its essential core. What is that essential core? The agenda of Atheism being stressed across is that message. Pullman’s intentions were to write of a ‘figurative’ Catholic Church, ‘horribly gone wrong.’ But, by all means, he is none other than another person blowing the proud horn of atheism in a charge against organized religion! When I speak of organized religion, I am basically referring to the Catholic Church, and to the remnants of classical Islam, which still holds fast to it’s strong code of morality. (Though they still seem to hate us Christians.) Well, as a Crusader, I’d rather be fighting a faithful Muslim than be fighting a one who no longer believes in ‘his’ faith…
Now, it has become a well known fact that Religion has become a less and less popular with modern society, and it has been a rather slow process; something which hasn’t just happened ‘overnight.’ It has been a period of rather slow degradation, beginning with the so called ‘Age of Reason,’ which decidedly question the issue of Church Authority, and the Idea of Religion in itself. The modern world, could easily have been said to have divided itself into three separate camps. Those who rely on Faith and Reason, those who rely on Faith Alone, and those who rely solely on Reason alone. The idea of people going to both the extremes of either Faith or Reason, has been circulating since the time of the Protestant Reformation, an soon afterwards, with the institution of Freemasonry in the 1700’s.
With the Protestants taking the the extreme with faith alone, Catholicism firmly clung to the teaching of Faith and Reason. Protestants stepped to one side, the Catholic Church maintained Her position, someone eventually filled the shoes of the extreme opposite, reason alone. Freemasonry. Freemasonry may be accurately argued to be the source of today’s situation, not in a theoretical conspiratorial statement, but in the utter reality that Freemasonry has been an age long enemy of the Catholic Church. Now, this battle being waged between Catholicism and Freemasonry is not just something which we need not concern ourselves with, but rather a battle for the mind of the individual human being. Not a physical war, but a philosophical war, being waged constantly. And it is upon this war, that the state of human society depends.

Freemasonry is so scary. There are so many powerful people that are part of it and only God knows when they are going to really take over the reins..if they haven’t totally already!

I heard a very cool story concerning the Freemasions in a book that this priest wrote,
When every Freemasion is on his deathbed a watch is posted outside his doors, an armed watch. This watch is to make sure that the guy dosn’t receive Last Rights by a priest. A priest came in (he might have been called by a family member)he saw the watch, knew what it was, and went home got his street clothes on and went back. Said that ‘Lodge, such and such, (he knew the name of the local lodge) said that he’d take the watch so they could go to eat.’ The priest then went to give the guy his last rights and after he was finished he was wondering why he did this… he could have been killed… he then niticed that the guy was wearing a scapular.
I thought that this story was movie worthy.

That is a neat story! Definately worthy of a feature film!

I highly doubt it would be allowed to be made into a film. *laughs* Hey Marc! Something we could put together!

Well it’s definetly the kind of short film that you could do really well, and then enter into some film contests.
