A Weekend in Review

April 29, 2008

Well, we had a wonderfully splendid weekend this past week. Starting with the classic annual Lord of the Rings Marathon at Cinemaworld in Lincoln, and ending with Friar Joseph’s class at the Friary on Sunday. The Marathon was great! (In my opinion…) lol Aside from the constant sound of Goblin laughter from the back row, and the constant instigation of clapping from my brother. ( And Angela.) Concerning the clapping, you ought to use moderation, so that people will actually ‘clap along.’ I myself clapped when Gandalf bopped Denethor on the head with his staff, and the entire audience joined in with me. (Though for some reason they didn’t clap when Frodo told Sam to go home, or when Frodo got stung by Shelob and Sam thought he was dead…) *cough* ;) But all in all, it was a great time remembering those annoying Youtube parodies and reciting the lines before the actors said them on the screen. (Including the Elvish!) But all in all it was great day!

Sunday was just as interesting, with Cenacle Sunday at the Friary. We had the usual hour break between Mass and lunch, in which I received my new precious ‘Frodo Lives.’ pin. :D (sooo awesome… Thanks Angela!) We later head down to the garage out back for Rosary, a talk on humility (I’m humble and proud of it! ;) ) and to work on the Trebuchet. As you can see on the right, we’re getting pretty far with the design and stand, but we are encountering some difficulties in regards to lining the basis. Hopefully we won’t have too much trouble in fixing it up, and we’ll be able to get it finished before Marc ends up leaving this year. (Ha, rushed schedule. Don’t leave us Marc! *sniff* :( )
