Spring Encampment – Over -

The Spring Encampment at the Friary in Griswold CT, is over! White Banner (my banner) has settled for 2nd Place; while Marc’s banner (red) is stuck between being slaves to the friars at the next encampment, or washing the dishes. So, to give you a partial look at how things are at the encampment, I’ve decided to post this video about the Gauntlet (Obstacle Course).

P.S. You can actually find me hanging around in there, along with Marc. (He’s the guy hanging from the Monkey bars, looking like he has monkeys gnawing at his legs. )

Oh, and you probably will see Bryce. (The guy Mr. Cousineo [ in the red sports shirt] is trying to push over the wall.)

By the way; I thought I might as well post the skit Marc and I did by the Fire. Yes, we did it in frilly shirts.

Fencing and Archery, Gauntlets and Walks,

Agony, Misery, very long Talks,

Bryce driving us to the edge of our minds,

These are a few of our least favorite things!

When the cow moans,

When Doug Barry Screams,

When I’m feeling sad,

I simply remember my Ipod Nano,

and then I don’t feel, so bad!

Bags full our rocks that are tied to our backs,

Friars are stalking are (our) very own tracks,

Bryce by the fire all tied up with strings,

These are a few of our favorite things!

The bags full of rocks refer to the backpacks filled with stones (Penance Packs) that Marc and I had to wear.

Why the constant things about Bryce? He says he’s our friend, but he secretly plots against the Night Watch, and I enjoy going after him in the spirit of chivalrous sportsmanship (Tying him up with strings.)
